after i download and installed the software updater here. i tried updating my phone, but for some reasons i dont really know, my phone suddenly switched off then i heard tone from my pc, after that i checked the software updater and it said that "CONNECTION TO PHONE LOST.. and the there are steps to follow to correct it.. i think!!..
the first step was to remove and reinstall my phone battery.. and i did..
while the second step i was told to switch my phone on and dont forget to connect my phone to my pc and choose PC Suit.. after i hit the power botton the nokia logo appears then the lights blacked out then suddenly it was like my phone is rebooting by it self.. now i dont know what to do.. because everytime i connect my phone to my pc, PC suit doesnt recognice my phone.. hope someone will help...

If you want to restore your nokia 6680 to the original factory settings you have to hold the green/answer key, the * button and the three (3) button' then whilst holding these you have to power off and power on your phone (still holding all three buttons down). I think this is correct and hope it helps. :() Dave
