I am new in Symbian,Is it possile to insert Options in the softkey in my second screen.I want to insert items inthe optons menu. I have an application which have 5 screen.

Yes. That is possible and relatively easy. There is some source code available on the net which show this (but I don't remember where).

Can I create a window in my application which stays on top on the idle screen and takes only a part of the screen?

For example: can I get the window group which owns the desktop window and create in this group my window?

How can I get access to the phone "Desktop" view?
"desktop" view -- the view which is visible when phone in is the idle mode.

In this example, clicking on the customised softkey MyOptions would bring up a menu.

The popped up menu displays its own CBA, and from what I can see, it can't be changed.

I think the CBA is privately owned by the MenuBar (see CEikButtonGroupContainer* iMenuBar in CEikMenuBar)

Does anyone know a way around this?
