Handling markable selection on devices without ABC(pen) key

There is default behavior for 3rd edition listbox with flag EAknListBoxMarkableList mark items on Shift+Aroows allows to mark/unmark items.

But for new devices without ABC/PEN/Shift key it realy painfull.

Any solution for handling # + arrows keys to mark items in list box?
