 <description>&lt;p&gt;One thing the analysts often forget is that there isn&#039;t actually any one &quot;linux smartphone&quot; system out there.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There is though a lot of phones that use a system that is built ontop of linux...  But most of these are actually more feature phones then smart phones (no possibility for 3rd party apps etc)&lt;br /&gt;
And most of those systems is also (almost) just as closed as the manufacturers normal feature phone systems.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There is only two true linux based phone os:es that fit the smartphone criteria imo.&lt;br /&gt;
These are the OpenMoko, and the OHA. None of them with any real phones on the market.&lt;/p&gt;
