Carbide 1.2 is available in express version as well as developers, pro and OEM. it depends on what features you installed when installing.

I dont really know the reason for your error, but my logic says it has nothing to do with your carbide license. its something with your application which needs to be fixed. but for that you need to get the environment ready and then give more information regarding the error by compiling and seeing the console so that you can be helped with some suggestions

BY this:

%EPOCROOT%\Epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\

I ment that running from command line also had the same problem as running from carbide.c++... I am using Carbide.c++ 1.2... Is this express edition??

Please Help...

My license has expired for Carbide.c++.... Will this cause any problem while running the console application using carbide.c++.

If you had installed the express version then you can continue using it without problems as its a free version. But if others then yes, unless you buy the licence, you may not be able to use it.

even after trying %EPOCROOT%\Epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\ path I get the same error:

what do you mean by that?

I suppose you are using 3.x SDK for your development. If so you can directly execute the YourConsoleApp.exe, from the %EPOCROOT%\Epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\ path.

Why don't you try running your console application directly instead of running the epoc.exe?

Yes you should have the textshell there for console based applications.
check the lab instructions in the above document, it has a very step by step description of how you should do it.
