Oops! These certificate expiries are very frustrating.

The certificate is auto-generated - there's nothing specific about Penrillian to it. So if you can find the installed .cer and .key files and replace them with new ones of your own, you'll be fine.

We'll take a look and re-release when time permits - which might not be immediately!

Hope this helps.

Hallo - I've sucessfully downloaded, installed and run the Penrillian Packager - so far so good! However, when attempting to install my re-packaged sis file, it won't install, stating that the certificate (issued to Penrillion) expired on 02-11-2007.

Any tips on how to change this, or get an updated cert (or something!)?

Thanks.

The App description states:

No pkg file syntax to learn, no SDK to install, no need to know where to install the files, the tools do all this for you. And that's cool. Charles, can I now have the same for applications ?

It should include:

Install .NET 3.0 framework on your machine

The Penrillian web site says:

It runs on MS Windows and requires .NET 3.0; if you get error C0000135 on running the app you need to install this.

So I guess you need to install .NET 3.0 framework on your machine.

Penrillian Packager for Symbian OS

[inline:3 left]Penrillian has recently released a simple (and free) tool to make SIS files out of your own content. The application is totally straightforward to use: pickup the file you want to install on your phone (music, video, pictures, documents), select the phone family target and the file name of your SIS file and press OK!
