Quote from: neeloor

Hi
Thank you very much it worked fine in Emulator, Now I am able to read all my contact and calender entries.

It would have been better if I get some tools for converting it in to xls.

Thanks once again

10x. Unfortunatelly no tools for converting. But there is a litle trick you can do now to move your contacts to another phone.
You can use a sync server (eg mobical), sync from your emulator to mobical then sync from mobical to your new phone....and voilla...you have all contacts on your new phone. You have to configure several things there but may be it's worth if you have a lot of contacts

1) You can open the .cdb file in a test editor (i.e. right click and choose open as, then wordpad for example) and you will be able to view the contents. You will be able to see text of contact's name's and phone numbers etc. however it will be difficult to read because there will also be a lot of garbage characters in there.

2) You can download the relevant SDK for the 9500 onto your PC. Once installed you can run an emulator that simulates your phone. You can search for the default .cdb, delete it and replace it with yours. THen you will be able to view the contacts in the emulator. If you've never done it before it'll take a while to find out what to do.

3) Send the file to a volunteer off here and they can open it in the emulator and they can export the data to a file and send that back to you

No..it's not really possible (not directly).
But one question...are you a symbian programmer? Or?

Use symbian emulator and replace contacts.cdb with your own one.
