Is there GDB support for Symbian Version 9.1? How to go about it??

does the gdbstub support the 6680 phone. The sdk is the DP V2_FP2.

I am trying to setup debug environment on Nokia 6600 using IrDA. I have done the gdbstub.exe and ini part on the phone. when i start it the IrDA indicator blinks. so the phone part of it is fine.

Problem is after installation of IrCOMM2k for COM port mapping it installs in COM4. and then when i mention COM4 in gdb.ini in the host system and issue a gdb -nw command, it says : gdb.ini:3: Error in sourced command file: COM4: Not a character device.

So the gdb is not starting at all. at some point i also got a msg "permission denied"

I would really appreciate any help regarding this issue.

After run "gdb -nw", i enter "run" on the gdb prompt, but the gdb stop running after display "Starting program:"

what is the reason?

How do you force the usage of a lower port such as port 4?

The gbdstub.exe causes my 3650/7650 (both with latest fw) to freeze/reboot. Can you use your symbian contacts to find out a cause? Did they tested the gdb with any 1.x device?

I have been getting the same problems while using gdbstub. Were you able to find a workaround to this issue.

hi! does any one know how to run gdb on n-gage? when i run gdbstub.exe my handy is restarting. any ideas?

I managed to get it working with Nokia 3650 and Nokia 7650. I am using a mother board connectable IRda adapter, WinXP and Nokia Borland SDK v0.9.

I used 1.2.1 version of the IRDA/comm application and connected it to COM3.

3650 complains that it may not work, but it does. I will try the other camera GSM phones soon.

I also tried a number of things to get it working with BlueTooth, but did not manage.

I get the error "error 6 (epoc error is -21)" when I try bluetooth debugging..

Be careful ! gdb is able to open serial port from COM1 to COM4

if the port is up to COM4 (COM5 for example) gdb will return this error "Not a character device"

Does this work on the Nokia 3650? Nokia Forum seems to say: "No"

I have not been able to install gdbstub.sis on a Nokia 3650.

On Nokia Forum there seems to be a clear statement from a NF representative that: "the Series 60 SDK nor the N9200 Communicator SDK supports on-target device debugging."

Has anybody managed to get this to work on bluetooth yet? The GDBStub seems to load up, but in the log file it generates:

Byte reception failure (epoc error is -1).

Any ideas?
