hi,

nice to know that u love symbian so do i,

but the real change for public developers is to make things work which are internal to the sdk ..

try to switch profile or write a device driver or fsy with public sdk ... to strengthen more knowledge than wht u get in a partnered company...

Regards,

Quote

i guess no one is bothered to rely even.
Reply to what ? You don't ask any question!

Quote

I have been working on symbian c++ from the start of my career. After completing my engineering i worked on Epoc ER5 devices and then after 6 month from there i was working on symbian series60,uiq, and communicator for nokia and sony erricsson devices.
It's been a very dreadful working on symbian in the initial starting year.
I have also been working on R5 and it was horrible to start Symbian dev those years with almost no documentation available. Even if the OS is complex - and still gaining complexity - there are a lot more documentation, example and support available. Once you get used to it, it's a relatively nice platform to work on.

Quote

But i don't know wht Symbian is doing for the Professionals who are working on its OS.
What do you expect ? What is missing according to you ?
Symbian focus is on its licensees rather than the application developer which has to deal with UIQ or Forum Nokia.

Unfortunately not much... This is more or less a kind of honorific title but there is not real activity behind it. I am even not sure that you can reach the page on Symbian Ltd web site if you don't know its URL.

On the contrary, the "FN Champion" scheme is quite active and interesting. I hope it will continue this way
