But you are right. Market is much more bigger. Your link show me that there is more then just motorola. Hopefully some companies distribute they own sdks now. Maybe someday they will come even to europe.... Developers could benefit much if planty of Motorolas have native c++ support.

Don't really understand what exactly do you mean...if you think you'll find a single c++ sdk to develop for mobile phones is not true. Most of the phone vendors who developed linux based phones...developed also their own linux distribution....so

Anyway relatet to this subject you can check also mobile linux initiative... http://www.osdl.org/lab_activities/mobile_linux/mli/Â (you'll find at this link more phones with linux on them)

Thanks pirosl for reminding n770. I think that one phone is not enough to start interestng this for surious.

http://motorolafans.com/ forum does not tell me anything that I know before. They have planty of linux based phones with JAVA (This could be seen at modocoder.com). No C++ besides symbian or windows based phones....

We were told some time ago that linux-based phones will come and we could develop for them as well in C++. The truth is that Motorolas phones is piece of s..... I know it well because I just sold V3.... And why only JAVA?

I know it is cheaped to support JAVA ang give developers trinkets then release libraries for c++ and other platform stuff....

Check for n770 from nokia. It uses a debian based linux version (and you can develop in c++ for it ) The linux distribution used for n770 is caled maemo and you can find further informations about it on http://www.maemo.org
