Sony Ericsson Update Service

The Sony Ericsson Update Service will allow you to keep your device (P900/P908 only so far) updated with the very latest firmware revision. When an improved software version for your product is introduced, you can download it whenever you want to.

The Sony Ericsson Update Service consists of:
  A wizard that guides you through the update process. This wizard consists of a web interface from which you initiate and finish the update process, and an update application that allows you to control the actual updating of your P900/P908.
  The Sony Ericsson Update Service client application that you will install on your PC. The client application enables you to run the Sony Ericsson Update Service.

The update process consists of the two distinctive phases:
  Preparing the the device: In the preparations phase you prepare your device and PC for the update. You are requested to install the Sony Ericsson Update Service client application. The client application must be installed in order to successfully update your device. You are recommended to backup or synchronize your device to prevent any loss of data.
  Updating the device: When you have completed the preparations, you download the latest software to your PC. When the download is complete, the update of the devicestarts automatically. When the update is completed you are recommended to restore or synchronize your device.
