sendo-x-small.jpgSendo today announced that it has begun shipping its Symbian / Series 60 based multimedia smartphone, the Sendo X to France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain during June, with full rollout continuing over the summer months.

With a reasonnable size for a smartphone device (108 cm3 and 120 grammes), the Sendo X has a 65K colors screen (176x220), a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom and runs Symbian OS 6.1 / Series 60 v1 (full specs available there).

The OS and UI platform is a little bit outdated but the phone features some Sendo exclusive enhancements (Sendo Now!, GraphX, SoniX, etc...) and €200.00 worth of free applications and content.

The device should be available for €200 with a subscription.

I have been given the chance to play with one of these during the last week and I got a quite good user experience. I especially like the UI design, a lot nicer than any other Series 60 devices currently available, including the very latest Nokia 7610.
