Together with 3G, Bluetooth and Infrared connectivity, the Sony Ericsson P990 smartphone offers Wireless LAN (WLAN) based network support.

The P990 Extension Pack for the UIQ 3 SDK is now updated to include the WLAN header files and necessary binaries to allow you to expose WLAN functionality in your applications.

Using the WLAN API, you can enumerate available WLAN profiles, retrieve information for a given profile and use active and passive scan to identify access points.

This extension also includes an example application showing WLAN API usage.
