Openbit to offer Symbian Signed Self Certification

Openbit, the leading provider of wireless distribution, billing and digital rights management services for Symbian OS™ applications, today announced an agreement with Symbian that offer Symbian Signing services to software developers and distributors as an official self-certifier. Symbian Signed is a unified certification program, which delivers developer authentication and tamper proof security for Symbian OS applications. Openbit will test 3rd party applications and sign them with Openbit's own ACS Publisher ID prior to requesting a signing with the Symbian certificate.
