LG introduces JoY, its first Symbian S60 HSDPA smartphone

LG Electronics has just presented the JoY, a Symbian S60 powered slider smartphone. JoY is a slider smartphone based on Symbian OS v9.2 and S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1. Not much information have leaked so far about the device but it will come with HSDPA support, a 2,4" LCD screen, a 2 megapixels camera, 64MB of internal memory, support for removable MicroSD card.

The device is still under development, some features like camera support being currently finalized. The cosmetic is not yet complete as well and the current prototypes seemed a bit fragile and really cheap plastic looking. These are the very first run of prototypes so you can expect a sexier final product by Q1 2007.
