Sendo today announced its new multimedia smartphone, the Sendo X. It is a compact and light GPRS tri-band phone in a real phone form factor (108cc and 120 grams) with aluminium finishing. The Sendo X is powered by Symbian OS 6.1 and Nokia Series 60 UI. It features a 176x220 TFT display with up to 65,536 colours. The VGA still/video camera offers 4 x digital zoom and an integrated flash with automatic red-eye reduction. The phone can record more than half an hour of video and audio.

The phone offer good built-in storage as it comes with 64 MB of Flash memory, of which approx. 32 MB is free to users. It also supports hot-swappable MMC and SD cards.

Sendo has also added a nice application pack:
  Sendo Now! is a screen customisation feature which allows users to access easily network operator value added services, favourite web pages, documents and frequently used applications.
  the integrated Photo Album application includes photo editing features, giving users the possibility to personalise pictures with captions, clip art, morphing and frames
  a large number of document viewers are included: Word, Excel, PDF, PowerPoint and ZIP are delivered on the phone, ready to use. More than 30 other document viewers can be found on the Companion CD.

The phone is expected to be available in limited volume before the end of the year.
