Consigntech Releases 199 USD Royalty free GoDB Lite Edition for Symbian

India based Consign Technology Private Limited (Consigntech) has released a 199 USD Royalty free GoDB Lite edition for the Symbian 60 Phone series.

As a follow up to their earlier release of the GoDB 3.4 edition, which was targeted at Enterprise application Developers, the lite edition targets the non-enterprise developers targeting the Symbian 60 Series Mobile Phones.

The Lite Edition is targeted at developers looking to developing simple applications, utilities and 2D Games for the Symbian 60 Series.

The Lite releases has the following features added are

-  Commands for sending receiving SMS, System Level notification (GPRS/IR/BLUETOOTH/BATTERY).
-  Commands for Making Receiving Voice Calls, Playing Video and Audio (Embedded in the app / Launched separately).
-  Commands for Switching to other Apps and views.
-  Commands for Enumerating Contacts and Groups.
-  Support for Sprite animation for Game development.
-  Support for HTTP Web services, Native Device access (Comports, GPS,Blue tooth Smart Card etc.).
-  Support for Push Services over SMS and TCP/IP.
-  Support for external C++ Components controls to be embedded in forms and extending functionality.

Support for embedded RDBMS Database function has been removed in the Lite edition.
