Codewarrior patch to support On Device Debugging on S60 handsets

Keywords:

Forum Nokia has just released a pack that will enable Codewarrior 3.1 Pro / Oem users to enable on-device debugging (ODD) on their S60 handset.

The pack comes with:
-  a patch to upgrade your Codewarrior installation to v3.1.1. Note that this is not intended to use for Codewarrior Personal edition which does not support ODD.
-  a SISx file to install the debug agent on the device

The pack is only compatible with the following S60 v3 devices:
-  Nokia 3250
-  Nokia E62
-  Nokia N71
-  Nokia N80
-  Nokia N91, N92, N93

Owners of E60, E61 or E70 handset have to wait for an update that is due to be available in the coming days.

Direct download of your On Device support pack (12MB, from Forum Nokia web site).

This broke S60 2nd. FP3 support for me. Importing an mmp file fails with 'the system cannot find the file specified' with no further specification as to which file. The mmp file - of course - works just fine when used with abld. Also, S60 2nd. FP2 is not affected.

Oh, and of course de-installing (reversing) the pack/patch is not possible.

Is N73 supported for On Device Debugging?

Also, can someone help in explaining how to go about doing it. We have been able to install the On DEvice Debugging kit but when the project is build in debug mode, we are unable to step through.

Is support for E61 already available? Meanwhile I was sucessful debugging on N71. However I could not debug on 3250 (using USB)) also I tried with Bletooth (BlueSoleil stack) and again unsuccessful. Any idea how do get on device debugging 3250?--Bharat Hegde
