Carbide.c++ v1.2 is scheduled for Q2 2007 and should enter beta stage very soon. Here is a list of some improvement that this version will bring:
- A new build system
- Easy and fast importing of complex projects
- Fast, 100% command-line compatible builds
- Intuitive project explorer that displays the file system and the project files
- INF and MMP editors for visual editing and viewing of project properties
- OEM Edition
- Stop-mode debugging using Trace32 and Sophia JTAG devices
- Kernel TRK run-mode debugging via JTAG debug communication channels for timing-critical problems
- New features
- New analysis methods for Performance Investigator, including power consumption and memory
- Key updates to UI Designer
- Eclipse 3.2 & CDT 3.1
- Enhanced Platform Security support
- Integrated capabilities scanner (should be delivered as a plugin to v1.1 in Q1 this year)
- Bug fixes
- And probably a lot more....
Enhancement of the build system, allowing seamless compatibility with command line build and better support for INF / MMP edition and import is a very good move as this is one of the weakness of the current carbide version. Good move then...
