TI has just announced that the forthcoming BenQ P30 device will be powered by an OMAP 1510 application processor and TI's TCS2100 chipset.
The OMAP1510 processor is a powerful chip that integrates a ARM925 core and a TMS320C255x in a single package. This will allow the BenQ P30 to deliver high-performance applications, such as video, still camera, MP3 player and games to consumers. As a comparison, the Siemens SX1 only integrates a OMAP310 which is based on the same ARM925 core but does not include the DSP.
