Hybrid Graphics and TTPCom today announced a collaboration to pre-integrate Hybrid's 3D graphics and Scalable Vector Graphics Tiny (SVGT) technologies into TTPCom's AJAR mobile application platform. Imagination Technologies and Sony Ericsson have released the first version of their OpenGL ES 1.1 SDK for UIQ 3 using Symbian OS v9.1. This new SDK helps developers create compelling 3D graphics for mobile games and content, taking full advantage of Imagination Technologies' PowerVR MBX Lite based 3D hardware acceleration included in the Sony Ericsson P990, M600 and W950 UIQ 3-based phones.

nVidia agrees to buy Hybrid Graphics

nVidia said it has agreed to acquire Finnish graphics-software developer Hybrid Graphics Ltd. Hybrid develops embedded 2D/3D graphics technology, including the first available OpenGL ES implementation. Its customers include Nokia, Ericsson, Philips, Samsung and Symbian.
